Rates and Availability:
We have two separate studios spaces,
Prime time rate is $40/hour (Weekdays 5pm -9pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm)
Daytime is $25/hour (10am to 4pm operating hours with possible availability as early as 6am and late night from 10-12pm)
Bulk discounts, available only for weekly class instructors.
$100/ month is the rate for one prime time hours per week OR two daytime hours per week
$300/mo = 4 prime time hours/week or 8 daytime/ week.
$600/mo = Unlimited, based on availability, first come first served.
You are an independent instructor.
Our success is cooperative. Your income is independent. You will process and report your income separately. (More details related to website sales below.
The property is insured, but you must have your own professional liability insurance (This will cost about $30/mo) You will take your own payments and keep all of your income. You will be responsible for personal marketing to find students and fill your classes.
You must include “FOR THE LOVE OF Studio Presents:” in all of your marketing (this policy grows each person's status and increases the visibility of the studio, which increases the reputation of all of us.)
What I give you
Support, guidance, pep, and my powerful personality. But more practically, I pay internet, website hosting and design, utilities, and business licensing for the location.
Regular instructors will be posted on my website with your photo, bio, and class descriptions with a booking link to share, as well as a feature on our staff page.
Note: being included on the website, in social media, in store, and wherever else we may post is not marketing. This is a wonderful tool for you to use in your own marketing efforts. It is entirely up to you to fill your classes with students.
Non Class Events: If you just have an event to list, I may host ticket sales based on a separate agreement. You may also promote yourself in our facebook group or tag us in your social media to take advantage of our followers.
One more financial qualification
The mall requires income reporting. They charge me 15% on all my income over 7x my monthly rent. Therefore, I must pass that on to you. At the end of every month give me a written total of your card and venmo transactions. If you exceed your cap ($700 if you pay $100, $2100 if you pay $300, $4200 if you pay 600) any amount above that you must pay 15% to me so I can pay the mall.
Volunteering to Earn Studio Time
Every 5 hrs of volunteer work you do for the studio gets you one free prime time and one free daytime spot.
Volunteer time can include in studio shop-keeping, production, design, bookkeeping, marketing or whatever else we discuss and agree upon
Your class or event times do not count as studio volunteer because you are working your business not running the studio.
